Hey guys, so i know it’s been a bit since I last blogged but i promise this one will make up for it! As title holders we were asked to write a blog post. For this one, I’m going share my favourite places in my region. Now this was a bit hard for me to do because I live in a border town. And because of this, I spend most of my time in a small little town called Flin Flon which can be found in Manitoba. So what i decided to do, is to show you guys a place near me in Manitoba and two in saskatchewan.

Before tell you guys about the lakes, I’d like to tell you guys about one of the things the north is known for. One of my all time favourite views, is of the Northern Lights. I love the way how the greens, blues, purples and yellows all dance together. It may sound like I’m a little crazy but I promise, they actually dance. I’ve seen the Northern Lights many times and every time I see them they take my breath away. And now, here is my take on the lakes in the northeastern area. 🙂

The other girls may have posted about little shops or a specific location, but I’m not. My favourite place in my region is the lakes. There are lakes everywhere in my region. I have one right behind my house, one fifteen minutes away another one about twenty minutes away, anyways you guys get the point, there are lakes everywhere.

My town, as well as Flin Flon, is known as a fishing town. We have tourists from the states, and across the country that come to fish near us. In my free time, I’ll go out with some friends and we’ll all go out fishing. Some days we’re not so lucky, but sometimes it’s just about being with your friends and having a good time.

Another thing I love about the lakes, is the way they look after a hot day, with the sun going down. The sunsets are beautiful up here, I’ve never seen sunsets quite like the ones up here, if I’m being completely honest. Its always nice time unwinding after a long day on a boat, just watching the sun go down.

There are so many great things about the lakes here. Many people spend their summer days out on the lake. They’re either tubing, water skiing, seadooing, wake boarding and many other water sports. You will also find that the beaches are usually packed on a hot day. Everyone goes to the beach when it’s a hot day, especially kids.

There are three lakes in particular that I’d like you guys to see. The lake in Manitoba is called Athapap and the other two lakes in Saskatchewan are called Amisk and Jan. If you guys are ever in my region, I definitely recommend you guys go check these lakes out. And if you want to stay a couple nights, I know there are a few cabins that they rent out at Athapap and there is a campground out at Jan Lake!

Love Always,

Hi everyone, my name is Alyssa! This is where I will write about my journey being Miss Teenage Northeastern Saskatchewan. In August I will travel to Toronto to compete for the title, Miss Teenage Canada. I am proud to be representing the Northeast area of Saskatchewan at the Miss Teenage Canada 2017 pageant. I am so excited to meet all the other beautiful delegates, and to make new friends 🙂 this will be a great experience for me and I am very grateful for this opportunity.

Ever since I was little, i have always loved playing sports. My dream has always been to become a professional athlete and compete at a high level of skill. Although the sport has changed over the year, the dream has always remained the same.

Sports have played a big role in who i am today. Without sports, i would not be the same. I was shy, nervous, not confident and not very outgoing, before sports came into play. And that is why my platform is to raise awareness to the lack of confidence in youth. I believe that in this day and age, youth do not have as much confidence as they should. And I wish to change that through extracurricular activities. Whether it be sports or something else, it doesn’t matter. All I want is for youth to find something they’re passionate about, and be confident in what they’re doing.

Thanks for reading 🙂

Goodnight everyone and keep in touch for my new posts!

Miss Teen North East Saskatchewan, Elaine VallierHey, my name is Elaine Stella Vallier. I won my title at the Miss Teen Saskatchewan World pageant 2012. I am so proud to say that I represent my North East area and be able to say that I am going to be competing for Miss Teen Canada World 2012 in July. I am so excited to meet all the beautiful, young, talented girls in Toronto. This is all very new and overwhelming to me because I am from a small town called Carrot River, Sk. I want to try to make the best of this because it is such a great experience being able to help out your community and etc.

I have always loved singing and acting; I have had this dream since I was 5 years old, being able to perform for people. And coming from a small town I would have never thought I would get this kind of experience. I know that lots of people still need to find themselves and I will be honest I still am as well. I am still very young yet but when I sing it makes me feel free, happy, and proud. It is very hard to explain because there are so many words that can describe it.

I have lots of family and friends around my community which I love because it just feels more like a home then a community. It is easy for me to make friends because I am such an outgoing person. I am very happy, bubbly, funny, easy going, down to earth type of girl. And yes I do talk A LOT!! My friends and family call me Tweety because I can’t stop talking sometimes..like a bird that chirps constantly.

I want to show every single girl that anyone can become a pageant girl. If you are from a small town or a city. While holding my title as Miss Teen North East Saskatchewan World 2012, I would also like to be a great role model for young people all around the world. I want you to go for what you believe in and not to hold back because of others. God made us all different and for a reason! We all have different dreams and if you want that dream to come true then you go for it, and go hard!!! This is why I am going to try my best to pursue my dream as a singer/actress.

My platform is bullying because I was bullied as a child. And still growing up, I know how it feels to walk into school, your home, etc with a smile on your face and no one knowing that you are falling apart inside. I understand how it feels to not want to talk to anyone because you want to be strong but I found out that is not being strong. Being strong is showing someone that you care and want to make a difference. You should tell someone so we can make it stop because children all around the world are in depression, fear, and having suicidal thoughts. There are different kinds of bullying like emotional, and physical. I over came bullying but sometimes still let it get to me until I think that there are a million reasons that I am here and being your Miss Teen North East Saskatchewan World 2012 is one of them. I want all of you to stand up with me and make a difference!

My first post is sponsored by an experienced Toronto roof repair service.

I would like to make a special thanks to all my family, friends, and sponsers that gave me this chance to be here. Also another great thank you to Miss Teen Canada World for giving me this experience of a life time. I am so excited to be able to pursue my dreams.

Thank you for reading.
